This stunning shabby chic hallway table has been lovingly upcycled to breathe new life into a beautiful piece of furniture. To begin the transformation, we carefully sanded away thick layers of old paint, creating an even surface for the new finish. Drawing from the ornate detailing of the piece, we enhanced its elegance by crafting a shabby chic design that complements its original charm.
The tabletop was expertly sanded down to a smooth, white finish. To achieve its aged and distressed look, we applied a layer of dark wax, which brings out the depth of its texture. The legs and intricate designs were painted in Frenchic’s Wise Old Sage, a soft, subtle green that adds a touch of vintage sophistication. The final touch? We applied dark wax and carefully distressed the edges, giving the table a naturally weathered appearance, full of character and warmth.
