Technical Information

Sophie James Decor paint is a premium British-made, water-based decorative paint designed for furniture, walls, woodwork and many other properly prepared surfaces. It is self-priming in most situations and contains an integrated wax, so additional primers or finishing waxes are rarely required. This simplifies the painting process while still providing a durable finish suitable for everyday use.

The paint offers excellent coverage of up to 14m² per litre and is quick drying, allowing two coats to be applied within a relatively short time. Arctic Ice provides a smooth, professional finish with excellent adhesion and durability, making it suitable for furniture upcycling, home decorating and restoration projects.

Sophie James Decor paint contains a non-toxic natural mineral rather than chalk, helping improve durability, weather resistance and long-term performance. It is formulated with high-performance resins, is low in VOCs and is suitable for both interior and exterior use on correctly prepared surfaces including wood, MDF, metal, glass, brick and concrete.

For the best results, ensure surfaces are clean, dry and lightly sanded before painting. Stir thoroughly before use and apply with a quality brush or roller. Two coats are normally sufficient, although additional coats may be required when covering darker colours or for maximum colour depth.
