Slim Upcycled Writing Bureau

There is something just so sophisticated about a writing bureau. The way they open out to create your writing desk, yet sit neatly tucked away when not in use, I just love it. 

And this upcycled writing bureau is no exception to this. This 1950's vintage bureau has been refurbished from a dull, uninsipred piece of furniture, to a beautiful unique writing bureau ready to find its new family. 

To restore this bureau, we used Olivia by Frenchic, a gorgeous olive green with undertones of brown, which are complimented perfectly by the single wood front drawer with its lovely antique gold stencil detail and gold handles.  

This bureau is beautifully slim in its design, making it an ideal work space for those working from home. It's footprint is small, and you can hide your work away at the end of the day. 

The writing bureau also has plenty of storage, with two drawers, and a cupboard with two opening doors at the bottom. Pull down the bureau desk door, and you' will find three small shelves in the centre of two open storage spaces. The desk is supported by two hinges, one on either side. There is a key hole on the pull down door, but there was no key with it.
