Large Upcycled Solid Pine Bookcase

Give your home plenty of practical storage with this large vintage solid pine bookcase, carefully upcycled in our County Durham workshop.

The body has been painted in Frenchic Al Fresco After Midnight, a deep, rich shade of blue with a hint of green that gives the bookcase a dramatic and contemporary feel while still allowing its original character to shine through. We have deliberately left the top detail and shelves in their natural pine finish, bringing warmth and contrast to the dark painted body.

The pine has been finished with Bri Wax to enhance the natural wood grain and give the shelves and top detail a beautiful rustic finish. The combination of dark painted wood and warm natural pine makes this a statement piece that could work equally well in a living room, home office, study or bedroom.

The shelves are adjustable, giving you the flexibility to arrange the bookcase around your own collection of books, ornaments, photographs and other favourite pieces. They are supported by small 9mm wooden dowels, allowing the shelf heights to be changed to suit your needs.

As with all our upcycled furniture, this is a one-of-a-kind vintage piece. Rather than buying something mass-produced and ordinary, you are getting a solid piece of furniture with original character that has been given a completely new lease of life.

The deep blue finish, natural pine detailing and generous storage make this a particularly striking choice if you love vintage furniture but want something with a more modern look.

We offer free UK delivery on orders over £199 (excluding Northern Ireland and Scottish Highlands). For these locations shipping must be quoted before placing your order as the cost is considerably more to ship to these areas. We reserve the right to cancel any orders to Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands if a shipping quote is not obtained prior to ordering and the delivery cost is deemed unreasonable.

The UK Wide Delivery option is for the rest of mainland UK and Scotland. We will send furniture through a removals  van style service.
